A Southern Baptist Pastor's Hebraic Journey

This is the first of a series of blogs by guest writers we hope to share. It's merely a way to hear people's testimony, their spiritual journey in relationship to the truths of Scripture as revealed when they began studying from a Hebraic perspective. Some will also share the impact of Emet HaTorah on their lives. Today, I introduce you to Pastor Jeff Musgrave.

Foundational Teachings of Messiah - Part 4

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God , and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands…(Hebrews 6:1-2)

Sharing Discipleship with the South

This is the first opportunity I've had to share an update on our recent trip across the Southeast where we stopped in to several places and shared the message of biblical discipleship. We spoke in Pearl, MS, Smyrna, GA, Macon, GA and Washington, GA. We had originally planned to speak in Pensacola, FL as well, but there was a scheduling conflict at the last minute and we were forced to enjoy the beauty of the beach for a couple of days instead. My children took full advantage of the situation.

Speaking Tour + Booklet Release

Please forgive me! I started this post last Friday morning, but failed to publish it! Here it is…

This coming week begins a new adventure for us in a few different ways. First, my family and I will be traveling throughout the Southeast (Mississippi, Florida, Alabama & Georgia) sharing the message of discipleship with churches, messianic congregations, home groups and individuals. It will be a short trip, but one which we believe will be fruitful. We look forward to meeting to people, making new friends and sharing the message of discipleship.

Four Responsibilities of a Disciple - Booklet Published

As they say in Hebrew, Baruch Hashem! Or “Bless God!” We are so excited! We are pleased to announced that the Father has allowed us to release our first printed material! It is a seventy-five page booklet I wrote entitled, The Four Responsibilities of a Disciple. Over two years of studying, observing, implementing and writing has finally began to bear some tangible fruit which can help others on their path to becoming a Disciple of Yeshua (Jesus). We have already received an overwhelming response with our announcement of its release on Facebook.

Foundational Teachings of Messiah - Part 3

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God , and of instruction about washings … (Hebrews 6:1-2)

Restoring the Gospel - Part 4

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15)

The Gospel of Jesus

Lest we forget our purpose for our Gospel exploration, our objective is to examine the various gospel proclamations by John the Immerser, by Jesus and also by the Apostles in order to see if the Gospel we are proclaiming today is the same Gospel they proclaimed. Otherwise our Gospel is one which would be foreign to Jesus and his disciples. Our goal is to try and recapture the original gospel message of Jesus and his disciples and let that be the Gospel we proclaim.

Discipleship Interview with The Grafted In Perspective

This week I had the privilege of being interviewed by Gabriel Rutledge of The Grafted In Perspective podcast in regard to discipleship. Discussion includes my testimony, ‪Discipleship‬ and The ‪Gospel‬. I would love to hear your comments!

Come Away My Beloved…

Repentance, Prayer, & Tzedakah annul the evil decree.1

Yesterday began the month of Elul, the sixth month on the Biblical calendar. It is the month just prior to the onset of the High Holy Days of the Fall. Here are some ways to understand this holy month from a Messianic perspective.

Soil Analysis

That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. And great crowds gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat down. And the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched.
