The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 made a major impact on biblical studies during the first century period. It revealed that Hebrew was not the dead language once believed by many theologians. When Yeshua state that “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.” was he talking to the writers of the Dead Sea Scrolls? In this study we will look at the relationship of Yeshua with the teachings in the scroll.
