Messiah in Hanukkah

Hanukkah dates back 22 centuries, to the successful Jewish revolt (led by the Maccabees) against a Greek monarch who sought to destroy the Jewish faith and culture. However, Hanukkah is not about political power nor is it about military victory. It’s focus is almost entirely spiritual, it’s observance is concentrated on flame. It celebrates dedication and light triumphing over darkness. It is extremely relevant today. In this study we find that the gospel of Messiah is foretold in the festival and how it can be used to share the gospel.
