Tisha B'Av
Shalom,
Just a reminder that Tisha B'Av will begin on Wednesday night and continue until sundown Thursday. It is a fast day that commemorates the destruction of both Temples and a number of tragedies.
While it is a day of mourning, the Temple Institue will begin building the sacrificial altar on Thursday, Tisha B’av. The construction of the altar will begin Thursday in Mitzpe Yericho (east of Jerusalem) at 5:30 p.m. Accordiing to the Temple Institute workers have already gathered around 10 cubic meters of rocks weighing several tons already. While this altar is a minimum sized altar it will still be approximately 4 meters tall, 6 meters long, and 6 meters wide.
Shalom From Colorado
Shalom Chaverim,
I am in beautiful Colorado where I have several meetings and where I have been able to see several of our friends and supporters. I have been able to see several of the people that have gone with us on some of our tours to Israel where we have been talking about the past tours and their desire to go back again. The trip has been great! I have been able to make some wonderful new contacts that I believe are going to be great not only personally but for the ministry as well. The weather has been gorgous and I wish that everyone could be here to see the beauty.
This weekend I will be back in Mississippi. That means that I am going to have a 21 hour drive!
